The "Mozart Effect" is a set of research results indicating that listening to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's music can, in a nutshell, make you smarter. It is, also, believed that early music training helps to develop brain areas involved in language and reasoning. In class, students may have a lack of interest and it is important to motivate them and make them want to participate activities. One way of doing this is through music. It is a fun and relaxing way to teach children and music helps to ease students’ anxiety.When singing and interacting in class, students are learning vocabulary, pronunciation,grammar, activite their listening skills and the rythm of the language without realizing that they are learning. Apart from music and songs being great learning tools, they are also great for class management.

Songs are great for having a welcoming atmosphere in the classroom.They are great because they stick to the student even after they’ve left the classroom.Some classes have students which have different language levels and abilities,but with young learners we can not really seperate them, so, with songs students who know english will stil have fun singing the songs and practice their pronunciation and the students who does not know will still dance while singing parts of the song as they learn. With young learners they normally have very high energy levels and others are a bit down and this creates a difficult atmosphere in class. So starting class with a high energy, song allows students with high energy levels to burn some of their energy and come down a little and students with low energy levels move around a little and they get more or less on the same level. With kids this is important to focus better on the lesson. Children are like sponges they just suck everything in and are fast learners.Learning with songs and music just makes it more fun and easier for them to learn.
